CP Group Announces Partnership with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Energy Star® Program

CP Group has joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) ENERGY STAR® Program as a partner, marking the commercial real estate firm’s fundamental commitment to environmental protection through continuous improvement of facilities and operations energy performance.

The company believes that implementing a portfolio-wide energy management strategy will improve the firm’s financial health while also preserving the environment for future generations.

“As we continue to expand our energy management program across CP Group, becoming an ENERGY STAR partner will help us achieve leadership in environmental responsibility across the commercial real estate industry,” said Managing Partner Angelo Bianco.

In partnership, CP Group will:

  • Measure and track the energy performance of all the organization’s facilities using tools such as ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager®
  • Develop and implement a plan consistent with the ENERGY STAR Guidelines for Energy Management to achieve energy savings
  • Promote the importance of energy efficiency and the value of partnership with ENERGY STAR to stakeholders – such as suppliers, staff, and the community at large – and facilitate energy savings among these stakeholders through competitions, campaigns, and other engagement, where possible
  • Highlight the firm’s achievements by pursuing ENERGY STAR recognition when milestones are achieved

“Becoming an ENERGY STAR partner will help us achieve our reduction targets in energy, water, waste, and greenhouse gas emissions. The partnership will also support our goals to pilot innovative technologies, reduce energy costs, and improve building performance,” said Elena Villarreal Daniel, CP Group’s Director of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).
