BOCA RATON, Fla. – January 21, 2014 – Crocker Partners today announced plans to revitalize a Jacksonville, Florida office park it acquired a year ago with a new identity and a major capital improvement plan. Formerly known as the Freedom Commerce Centre, the 54-acre property consists of seven buildings totaling 752,154 square feet of office space and is located at the Baymeadows Road/Interstate 95 interchange in the suburban Butler Corridor.
With a new name, Prominence, and an investment of several million dollars in a new entry and modern design features for the buildings, Crocker Partners is repositioning the park to be competitive with office space built east of I-95 in recent years, according to Crocker Partners’ Managing Partner Tom Crocker.
“We’re committed to the long-term success of Prominence, making the investment necessary to redefine the park and restore it to its full potential,” said Crocker. He noted Prominence offers tremendous potential and is centrally located in one of the most sought-after suburban markets in Jacksonville.
Prominence offers large contiguous spaces to accommodate back-office type of operations. Office space options available can accommodate companies in need of office space from 2,000 to 200,000 square feet. Planned capital improvements will include a new entry feature and monument with tenant signage and landscaping enhancements throughout the property. Significant parking upgrades are also underway to increase the parking ratio up to 8 spaces per 1,000 square feet.
Currently, Crocker Partners owns and operates more than 3.1 million square feet of real estate across Florida, including trophy assets such as Miami Center, Orlando University Center, and Two Harbor Place in Tampa. Overall, the company’s portfolio includes more than 6 million square feet of office space in the Southeast U.S. and Texas, representing more than $1 billion invested. Crocker Partners has tapped Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) to lease the office park and the JLL team of Kaycee Gardner, Vice President, and Jesse Shimp, Associate, will lead those efforts.
